# Is Convyn free?

Yes! Convyn is open source and free to self-host forever. You bring your own server, you own your data. There may be a hosted option in the future but the self-hosted version will always be free.

Possibly, for users who want a stable experience without self-hosting or relying on other users. Nothing confirmed yet.
# Can I contribute?

The code will be open sourced when it's ready to share. Contributions will be very welcome when that happens.
# Could I host an instance just for user accounts?

A users-only instance works fine. As long as other servers allow federation, your users can still connect and access their communities.
# Is Docker the only way to run this project?

Nope! Docker is just the simplest setup. You can also run the Elixir project and database directly if you prefer.
